| Bijli, Pani, Sadak cannot solve JK dispute:Omar | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Feb 1: Kashmir issue cannot be solved by Sadak (roads), Pani (water) and Bijli (electricity). It is a political problem and can be solved through meaningful talks. This was stated by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah at Kupwara today. According to reports, Omar addressed a public gathering at Aloosa, Kupwara today after inaugurating a bridge in the village. “Kashmir issue cannot be solved by economic packages or by offering electricity, potable water and roads. It is a political problem and has to be addressed politically”, he said. The coalition government has been working for faciliting a dialogue for Kashmir resolution. “The union government has also offered secret dialogue and in near future, meaningful dialogue shall be held with separatists and other shades of opinion in the state”, he said. Omar said the situation was taking a favourable turn and people are coming forward to express themselves freely without any fear. Omar assured a railway link from Srinagar to Muzaffarabad in near future. “It shall run on the pattern of Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus”, he said. “The coalition government is working for smooth relations across LoC”, he added. Expressing determination to weed out corruption from the state, Omar said the government had waged a war against corrupt elements. “Nobody whatsoever his position shall be spared if found involved in corruption”, he said.
