| Micky concludes 3- day tour to Rajouri, Poonch | | | Early Times Report Jammu February 1- Deputy Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, S. Arvinder Singh Micky has concluded 3-day extensive tour to twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch, yesterday. During the visit, Mr. Micky took stock of various ongoing developmental works besides attending a series of public meetings. He directed the concerned authorities to speed up the pace of all under execution works for their timely completion so that the benefits of welfare schemes percolate to the general masses at the earlist. He called upon the officers to work with missionary zeal and honesty as the outstanding officers will be rewarded while erring will be brought to book. Addressing a public meeting at Poonch, Mr. Micky said that the coalition Government has taken several historical steps for betterment of the people especially for those living in remote and hilly pockets. He said that the Government is keen to provide improved basic amenities especially quality education to the people of all the three regions of the State. He appealed the people to come forward and take benefits of the welfare schemes launched by the Centre as well as State Government. Mr. Micky also visited playground at Poonch and interacted with the local players. Besides, the students of the area apprised him of the difficulties being faced by them with regard to lack of sports facilities. The Deputy Chairman assured the students that he will take up the matter with the concerned Ministry for Youth Services and Sports. President, Muncipal Committee, Rajouri/ Poonch and other district officers accompanied the Deputy Chairman during his visit.
