| OGCF concludes | | Akhoon for inculcating oil Conservation habits | | Early Times Report Jammu Feb, 01 The Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution and Transport, Mr. Qamar Ali Akhoon has urged the oil Companies to disseminate the message of oil conservation through their well established network of dealers and distributors and create awareness. Speaking at the valedictory function of Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight (OGCF), held here today, the Minister called for inculcating the habit of conservation of oil products, to ease the burden of importing petroleum products, which results in massive outflow of foreign exchange. The function which was organized by Petroleum Research Conservation Association (PRCA), was attended by State Oil PSU’s, officers, dealers, distributors, transporters and college and School students. Mr. Vikas Bahl, State Level Coordinator of PRCA said that India’s crude import has been on the increase for the past several years, as indigenous production of crude in India is not increasing in line with demand of Petroleum products. Latter, the Minister gave away trophies to the winners of various competitions, organized during the fortnight, and appreciated for their participation in awareness campaigns.
