| Jawahar Navodhya Vidhalya, RTI to be set up in Akhnoor village soon: Sham | | | Early Times Report Jammu February 01- To further improve overall educational scenario in the rural areas of tehsil Akhnoor, the Government will set up a Jawahar Navodhya Vidhalya and a Regional Training Institute for Navodhya Vidhalya teachers at village Nardi which will full-fill the educational requirements of dozens of villages located in the vicinity. This was stated by the Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma at an annual day function of Government Higher Secondary School, Nardi Bala in Akhnoor today. The Minister said that the Government was paying focused attention on the consolidation of educational infrastructure and in the coming years all schools and colleges will be provided with required manpower and material. He appreciated the results registered by the Government institutions during the last session. However, he stressed for further improvement in the results and education standards. The Minister further apprised that an ITI will also be set up in Akhnoor area for benefiting the rural youth of the border tehsil. The site for the purpose has been identified and work will commence soon, Mr Sham said and added that in Akhnoor Degree College all important streams have been launched and students of the surrounding areas are satisfied with the facilities available there. The College building is a model structure in the area, which was completed in a record time, he added. The students presented a colourful cultural programme, which were highly applauded by the audience. On the occasion, the Minister also felicitated Vaid Puran Chand Sharma for his selfless services for the ailing humanity.
