| Lal Singh distributes relief among 428 families | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Feb 1
Member of Parliament from Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary Constituency Choudhary Lal Singh today distributed rupees 1,28,40,000 among the 428 families of Below Poverty Line (BPL) at Nagri Prole under Centrally sponsored scheme Integrated Housing and Slum Development Programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Lal Singh said that this scheme is for those people who belong to below poverty line and residing in slums of urban areas.
He further said that in Nagri nearly about 428 families belonging to BPL are considered to avail the opportunity for constructing the houses up to the amount of Rs 90000.
Today we disbursed amount to the tune of rupees 1, 28, 40, 000 by providing Rs 30000 per family as first installment.
Taking strong exception over the delay in execution of the programmes launched under NREGA, Lal Singh alleged that as per scheme Kathua district was allocated total amount of Rs 4cr but till date only Rs 70 lakhs have been utilized while remaining amount of 3cr 30 lacs is still unutilized.
