| BJP to fill party posts within a week | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, February 2
During a couple of meetings between BJP President,Shamsher Singh Manhas and former Chief,Ashok Khajuria,a panel of names has been selected for filling various organisational posts in Jammu and Kashmir.
Party sources said that the panel will be submitted to the party high command and indications are that within one week all the party posts will be filled.Sources said that five posts of vicepresidents,two posts and general secretaries,five posts of secretaries and one post of treasurer were to be filled.
In reply to a question sources said that in order to reduce bitterness "we prefer filling all party posts through selection and not by election." They said that Dr Nirmal Singh's views too were sought on finalising the names for various party posts.Indications are that all major ethnic groups would get representation in the party setup.Reports said that Jugal Kishore,MLA,Bali Bhagat,Chander Mohan Sharma were among the seven names being considered for the posts of vice president.
These reports said that the party high command has suggested to Shamsher Singh to give some party posts to the younger elements in the organisation who could get a chance of gaining experience in running the party affairs
