| KAS aspirants seek extension of Mains exam | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 2 Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) aspirants under the banner of newly floated All J&K KAS Aspirants Forum (AJKAF) have appealed the Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission to extend the tentatively announced schedule of the KAS (Mains) examination by at least two months. As per a press statement issued by Forum, prior to or around last time’s Mains examination, there was no another important competitive paper, but this time the candidates of KAS Mains examination had to face various other examinations for the last four months. Due to this preoccupation, the preparation for the KAS mains examination got affected as the aspirants had to devote their time for facing other exams. Apart from this 95 candidates belonging to the state have appeared in the Indian Civil Services (ICS) Mains Examination and the interviews will be conducted in ending March which shall clash with the tentative date sheet of KAS mains. The release further said that these youth aspiring of making it to the coveted IAS and other Indian civil service posts shall be left in lurch if the JKPSC goes ahead with the tentative date sheet indicatively starting from March 15.
