| JKCCTU endorses strike call by EJAC | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 2 J&K Coordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) today endorsed the two day strike call of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) on February 16 and 17. Addressing media persons here today, Mohammad Maqbool, state president JKCCTU and national Secretary of AISGEF expressed serious concern over the state government’s backing out from its agreements reached upon with the government employees during their recent agitation. He criticized the government’s economic and anti-working class policies adding that the alarming price rise of essential commodities is the result of that. Privatization, contractual appointments and out sourcing has made the life of the working class miserable, said Maqbool adding that implementing the Privatized New Pension Scheme in the state, the government has added fuel to the fire. He informed that Unions adopted a unanimous resolution and asked the government to release the 6th pay commission arrears in cash, withdraw New Pension Scheme, regularize all temporary workers, Anganwari workers and helpers and enhancement of their wages, remove anomalies and disparity in HRA.
