| Freedom fighters asso deputation met CA & PD minister | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 02: A deputation of J&K freedom fighters association led by its president Ved Gandotra and MR Bangotra today met CA & PD minister Qamar Ali Akhoon and apprised about the problems being faced by the general public with regard to acute shortage of essential items, at ration shops, overloading in buses, matadors, and traffic system in the winter capital. Leaders brought to the notice of minister that due to political interference and back up of some political leaders some owners of ration dealers are creating hurdle to implement the pro-people relief policy of the government. There is need to monitor the supplies and its distribution to the rationes as there is lot of difference of prices of government PDS and open markets of these items to curb and make strong check of black market of the PDS ration. Gandotra and Bangotra further said that the agents of RTO office were removed from the surrounding the office to end the role of middle men. But the department have not provided the sufficient stationary forms for licenses etc and as such the public is again approaching to the agents for getting forms and guidance.
