| Artillery Regiment to celebrate 12th reunion | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 3 The Regiment of Artillery of the Indian Army is celebrating its 12th reunion with a host of events planned over the next two days at Devlali and Nashik Road. The top Army brass, including Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor, is expected to attend the festivities and regimental celebrations. A large delegation of more than 400 retired Army officers, including former Army chiefs and former governors and over 1000 retired JCOs and Jawans are expected to attend the reunion. During the Arty Seminar, the Colonel Commandants and senior officers will discuss the training, operational and administrative aspects affecting the regiment. A spectacular tattoo show, free fall para drop, para motors display, powered hang gliding, equestrian and gymnastics events will be showcased during the reunion. The School of Artillery at Devlali is one of the premier training institutions of the Indian Army for imparting quality training to all ranks of the Regiment on gunnery, surveillance & tactical aspects. The Artillery Centre at Nashik Road trains more than 6,000 recruits every year and is organised into three training regiments. The centre also houses and trains the wrestling, weight lifting, kabaddi, polo and best physique team of the regiment. In addition, the training centre has been made into the shooting node of the Indian Army.
