| JJSF holds protest | | |

Jammu, Feb 3 Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) activists today held a protest demonstration against honouring a surrendered militant with Padma Shri award.
JJSF held a protest at GGM Science College and MAM PG College and torched the effigy of Ghulam Mohammad Mir alias Muma Mir, who has been awarded Padma Shri.
In GGM Science College, the protest was held under the leadership of Sahil Choudhary (President, GGM Science College) and Abhay Sharma (Vice President, GGM Science College).
All the students gathered at Shaheedi Sthal where Sahil Choudhary addressed the students and made them aware about the issue and condemned the step taken by Central government.
Speaking on the occasion, Abhay Sharma questioned that Is Padma Shri Award was constituted for militants who are enemy of the humanity?
In MAM College, the protest was led by Varinder Singh (President, MAM College). Addressing the gathered students, he alleged that the step taken by government is an indirect support to the militants.
Partap Singh Jamwal (State Vice President, JJSF) also spoke on the occasion.
He demanded that the Padma Shri Award announced foe Mir must be taken back as soon as possible.
Other JJSF leaders who joined the protest included Sumit Gupta (City President, JJSF), Pardeep Sharma, Vishal Bhat, Jyoti Choudhary, Davinder Singh, Sunil Sharma, Rohit Kumar, Vikram Partap Singh, Tajinder Pal Singh, Yogesh, Lovely Gupta, Rahul, Simranjeet Singh, Lucky and Rapsy.
