| NCC contingent returns after attending R D Camp at Delhi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 3: The NCC cadets hailing from all part of the state returned to Jammu on January 31 after participating in among long Republic Day camp at New Delhi. The cadets achieved the distinction of winning the most improved NCC Directorate trophy and other prizes for their outstanding performance. In addition to participating in various competitions and cultural o the state during various events. They had an opportunity to meet the vice president of India, Prime Minister Chief Minister of Delhi and chiefs of the three defence services and other dignitaries who visited their camp. The Deputy Director General NCC, Brig Anil Gupta in a function today felicitated the cadets and other staff members of the contingent on there achievement. The cadets presented a colourful cultural programme on the occasion and proudly displayed their trophies and awards amidst other guests and media personnel, present on the occasion Brig Gupta expressed hope that the subsequent NCC contingents participating in the Republic Day competitions at New Delhi would not only emulate them but also improve their performances in the future. The cadets were also felicitated by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in a function organized at his residence where the cadets presented a National Integration Awareness presentation which was highly commended by the Chief Minister.
