| National Heritage Trek Expedition to begin on April 29: Chib | | |

Jammu Feb 3: The Youth Hostels Association of India(YHAI), J&K State branch in collaboration with Udhampur District Administration, department of School Education, Higher Education, Tourism, and Youth Services and Sports is organizing the National Heritage Trek Expedition from April 29 to July 15th 2010, as a part of Youth Tourism Promotion Programmes.
This information was given to Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Medical Education and Technical Education, R.S. Chib at a meeting here this afternoon. The main focus of the programme shall be in the scenic destinations of Udhampur.
Chib released a brochure on National Heritage Trek Expedition on this occasion.
He called for focusing on unique heritage sites, green meadows and pastures, lofty mountains with thick deodar forests, clear natural water springs, brooks and the river.
National President, YHAI, M.S. Pandit who was also present in the meeting said that participation is open to all the educational institutions, individuals and recognized units of YHAI. He said this National Heritage Trek Expedition offers youth a new trekking route in the Panchari Hills and combines a healthy outdoor activity with exposure to rich heritage of the State.
