| JJSF demands curtailed syllabus | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 4
Cautioning to launch an indefinite strike, Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) has reiterated its demand of curtailment in syllabus of Three Year General Degree courses. Addressing media persons here today, State Vice-President JJSF Partap Singh Jamwal said that few days back JJSF launched an agitation for the demand of concession of syllabus of Three Year Degree Courses and students of all city based colleges boycotted their classes. But JJSF suspended its agitation for few days on the assurances made by Nodal Officer Dr Sham Lal Gupta, who said that Jammu University (JU) authorities have convened a high level meeting with the Principals of various colleges on February 5 and a decision will be taken in it, added Partap Singh Jamwal warned that if no fruitful result will come out in the proposed meeting, JJSF will go for indefinite strike in all the colleges. He alleged that Jammu University is responsible for wasting of precious time of students as it has not able to declare various Degree Courses results including Regular, Private as well as Reevaluation on time due to which session started late. He also condemned the opening of Police Post in JU which he described as snatching of freedom of students adding that if authorities went ahead with the proposal then JJSF will be forced to resort to violence. Other JJSF leaders who were present on the occasion included Sahil Choudhary (President, GGM Science College), Abhay Sharma (Vice President, GGM Science College), Monika Sharma, Madhu Saini, Pooja Pandita, Nitin Jamwal, Sumit Gupta (City President, JJSF), Pardeep Sharma, Davinder Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Jatin Mahajan, Nitin Gupta, Parminder Singh, Tejinder Singh, Jyoti Choudhary and Vishal Bhat.
