| Court grants 5 days police remand of Patwari | | | Earlyb Times Report Jammu, Feb 4 (JNF) The Court today granted five days police remand of a Patwari, who was caught red-handed by State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) couple of days back while demanding and accepting a bribe from the complainant. Additional Sessions Judge Anti-corruption Jammu, Duni Chand Sagotra granted five days police remand of Patwari Jagdish Singh who was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant. The accused was produced in custody before the Court where Senior Prosecuting Officer Parshant Gupta filed an application for grant of police remand on various grounds including that investigation in the case is still going on. Court after hearing Senior Prosecuting Officer, granted five days police remand of the accused Patwari. It has been disclosed that searches of the residence and other area of arrested Patwari is going on. Police has recovered Rs 50,000 cash was recovered from the car which was driven by the Patwari and expected more recovery in cash and disproportionate assets.
