JAMMU, Feb 4

Jammu and Kashmir Minerals Limited is conducting an open auction of 22,000 grams of rough Sapphire Corundum of Paddar mines in Kishtwar on February 8 and 9, 2010 at Udhyog Bhawan Jammu.
According to a notice of J&K Minerals, the precious mineral is world famous because of its unique Peacock Neck blue colour, which is rarely available in other parts of the world. The last auction of 11,000 grams of sapphire was held in March 2008 and fetched handsome revenue to the undertaking.
