| 4 days CBI remand for Deputy Director ESIC | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 5: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu J R Kotwal today granted four days remand to CBI custody of accused Suresh Chander Kaushik Deputy Director Employees State Insurance Corporation of India. Who was caught red-handed by the CBI on February 4th? Accused was produced before Court by Additional Supt of CBI KL Raina along with CD file of the case and an application seeking his remand to CBI custody for four days. The application is annexed with a copy of Medical Certificate showing that the accused had been medically examined on February 5th. J R Kotwal while grating CBI custody remand observed that record reveals that accused Suresh Chander Kaushik has been arrested on February 4, as he was allegedly caught red-handed while demanding and accepted illegal gratification of Rs 40,000 from complainant Rajesh Kumar Manager M/S Techno Fabricates in course of trap laid by CBI. He has been booked under sections 5(2) r/w 5(1) (d) PC Act 2006 and 161 RPC. Investigation of the case is in progress. Accused is remanded to CBI custody for four days. JNF
