| Interactive meet attracts people in hordes | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 5 : Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organised an interactive meet with noted writer, poet and journalist Ghulam Nabi Khayal here today.
The event was presided over by Director Radio Kashmir Srinagar, Rafiq Raaz while Prem Nath Shad and Dr Aziz Hajni were also in the presidium.
Before the formal interaction Ghulam Nabi Khayal read certain select abstracts from his poetry collections which were highly appreciated by the audience.
After reciting his poetic collections, Khayal very aptly answered queries of the audience who were present in the hall. The interactive session lasted for about an hour.
Several people from different walks of life attended the meet. Besides common citizens and literary personalities of repute, those who were present on the occasion included former Additional Secretary Academy, Moti Lal Kemu, present Additional Secretary Jammu, Savita Bakshi and Additional Secretary Kashmir Shamim Akhtar.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Cultural Academy, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas said that the Academy had been organising such events for decades now wherein people of repute were invited for interactive sessions so that commoners could benefit from their vast experience.
He assured the audience that such events would continue to be organised by the Cultural Academy in future also.
In his address, Rafiq Raaz, Director Radio Kashmir lauded the efforts of the Cultural Academy for organising such events and said that through these interactive sessions people were gaining experience and exposure.
