JJSF holds protest

Jammu, Feb 5 : Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) today held protest demonstrations at Government MAM College and GGM Science Evening College against alleged beating of a MAM College student on Jammu University (JU) campus during a Basket Ball match organised by the varsity.

The protest in MAM College was held under the leadership of Varinder Singh (President, MAM College). All the classes were boycotted by the students.

Addressing the students, Varinder Singh alleged that a student namely Irfan of MAM College was mercilessly beaten up by a group of boys inside JU premises when a Basketball Match was being played which was organized by Jammu University.

Raising a question mark over the security of JU, Varinder said what the security personnel of University were doing when the boy was being thrashed.

Other JJSF leaders who were present during protest demonstration at MAM College included Ashutosh Sharma (District President), Simranjeet Singh, Rapsy, Davinder Singh, Pawan Singh, Lucky, Sanjay Sharma, Abhimanyu Singh, Jyoti Choudhary, Vipin Sharma and Rohit Kumar.

In GGM Evening Science College, the classes were boycotted under the leadership of Sahil Choudhary (President, GGM Science College), Abhay Sharma (Vice President, GGM Science College), Rohit Wali (President Evening College), Monika Sharma, Madhu Saini and Pooja Pandita.

Addressing the gathered students, Sahil Choudhary said that JU authorities are playing a game against student community as they have failed to take a decision over the demand of curtailment in syllabus of Three Year General Degree Course.

Rohit Wali and Partap Singh Jamwal (State Vice President, JJSF) also addressed the students. They condemned the attack on MAM college student inside JU premises.

Other leaders who were present on this occasion included Ashutosh Sharma, Sumit Gupta (City President, JJSF), Rakesh Singh Chib, Atul Kerni, Sandeep Chouha, Davinder Singh, Shivdev Singh Thakur and Tushar Raina.
