Udhampur Feb 5: District Congress Committee, Udhampur was held under the chairmanship of Bhupinder Singh Pathania, President DCC Udhampur and Senior party leader Brij Mohan Sharma and party backed Rahul Gandhi’s bold and benchmark remarks regarding “Marathi manoos’ spill-over in Mumbai.
The speakers in this meeting were of the view that entire India belongs to every Indian and recent irresponsible statements and overtures on part of Sena men are but a manifestation of worst chauvinism and jingoism.
Further the DCC leaders further called for re-shaping the entire relief distribution per family member as the present system is full of discrepancies and also demanded for monetary relief in order to save and stabilize the fractured economies of farmers.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included Shakuntala Devi and Basant Kailoo (municipal corporators), District SC/ST Cell President, District President, Migrant cell and others.
