| NGO holds seminar in Kathua village | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua, Feb 5: Non Government Organization, Eradication Corruption Society (ECS) organised a seminar in village Budhi at Kathua today. Sanjeev Verma and a prominent social worker Rtd Capt. Sagara Singh spoke on the corruption and termed it as strategic weakness of the society which has become a deep rooted problem. They said that it is not created by single person or a community but it is the offshoots of our wrong and undemocratic political system. One sided economic system which serves the interest of only 5-10% people of the society while the majority of the people are deprived of basic facilities for their survival to which few choose the path of corruption. They further said that due to whole corrupt system, today’s world is facing two major challenges one is of global damage of nature and second is of inequalities among the communities. The students of the school also took part in the seminar to express their concerns over the corruption where Vdhasi Rajput stood first position, Pooja Bhagat stood second and Mansi stood third. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest MLA Kathua Charanjit Singh said that the corruption is the society consuming disease like a cancer which can we counter by improving the character of each and every individual and also adopting the morale education system which paves the way to inculcates the morale patriotic values into each and every students besides young generation. He further said that basically the corruption is the out come of the character crises of the individual in the society. Advisor of the Eradication Corruption Society Anil Salaria, President of the society Hetendar Manhotra, Vice President Kulbushan Khajuria distributed prizes among the participants and position holders.
