| Malik for providing quality education to students | | | Early Times Report
R. S. Pura, February 06- Minister for Higher Education, Abdul Gani Malik has eulogized the contribution of private sector in providing quality education in the State, adding that some private educational institution are playing a pioneering role in this regard. Speaking at the annual function day function of New Gandhi Memorial College of Education at Miran Sahib, R. S. Pura this morning, the Minister asked the private educational institutions to mark a proportionate ratio in admissions for the under privileged children also. MLA, Suchategarh, Mr. Sham Lal Choudhary, MLA, R. S. Pura, Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat and other functionaries of the college were present in the function. Mr. Malik said that Government has initiated several measures to revamp education sector in the State on modern lines, adding that basic infrastructural facilities in colleges is being consolidated to provide quality education to the students. Saying there will be no compromise on quality of education, the Minister said only those private colleges would be allowed to run which adhere to the criteria fixed by the Government. Mr. Malik said that new colleges have been opened across the State to provide facilities of higher education to the students at their door steps. He said construction of buildings for new colleges is in full swing. He said that vacancies of faculty members and other staff would be fulfilled soon on the fast track basis as the recruitment agencies have been directed already in this regard.
