| Popular Model High School celebrates annual day | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 6 Popular Model High School today celebrated its annual day which marked a tribute to unity and integrity of different cultures. Song, music and dances were an amalgam which made the day more joyful. It was a step ahead to build the bridges of oneness by appreciating the culture heritage of mankind. The function started with lighting of lamp by the chief guest Raman Bhalla, Minister of Revenue, rehabilitation and Relief of the state, followed by Saraswati Vandana - An attempt to pay homage to our motherland & restore the dignity of mother earth & humanity. Chairman Dr. A K Arora addressed the gathering and expresses his views on spreading knowledge and lighting the torch of learning through innovative ideas. Principal Usha Sharma made a humble beginning by a warm and heartfelt welcome speech. She presented the school report tracing the progress made in the last one year and said that during twenty three years of existence, the school has taken long strides and has made commendable progress. The tiny tots of the school presented their fountain of talents by dancing to the tunes of traditional and western music. The senior children held the audience engrossed with their colourful attire and heart throbbing performances, as they presented Dogri, Rajasthani and Punjabi Dance.
