| RJMLS lambastes KVs for non inclusion of Urdu subject | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 6: Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society has lambasted the administration of Kenderiya Vidyalaya Schools in Jammu and Kashmir for not including the Urdu language in the curriculum even as Urdu is the official language of Jammu and Kashmir. According to a statement issued here today, a meeting of RJMLS executive body was held under the chairmanship of its president, Professor Shohab Inayat Malik where he emphasized and impressed upon not to link any language with a particular community as the languages are the medium of communication. Prof Malik further said that the Urdu language should be included in the course curriculum and make their product diverse in languages. Reiterating its demand for setting up of Urdu academy in Jammu and Kashmir, RJMLS president said that if government would not consider this demand, the RJMLS along with other sister organizations would launch an agitation for the cause. All the members urged upon Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to announce an Urdu Academy in Jammu. Prominent among who attended general body meeting include Bashir Bhaderwahi, Aseer Kishtwari , Prof. NA Malik, MK Bajngroo, Anand Lehar, Mumtaz Kouser, Tanweer Ahmad, Ravi Thakur , Puja Chowdhary and Abdul Hafiz Wani.
