| 2-Day quality enhancement concludes | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, FEBRUARY 06 – Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik today asked teaching fraternity, to strengthen economic, cultural and social fabric of the region through education, research and enterprise and to elicit tangible results in business, industries and information technology sectors. The Minister was addressing a an valedictory function of two-day NAAC National Seminar on quality enhancement at SPMR college of Commerce here today. He said that the college affiliated to the University of Jammu is proud of its alumni, who are now faces in the crowd by their sheer dedication and dint of hard work in their respective filed. He said the college is committed to prepare young managers to face the inevitable challenges arising from the advent of privatization and global liberalization. The Minister appreciated the organizers and exhorted the teachers to do their best to upgrade for the standard of education. In all twenty papers were presented at the seminar by number of academicians, intellectuals and former Principals, lecturers and students of various Degree Colleges. Dr. Nasir Ali, key resource person of Kashmir University and Prof. Zahoor Ahmad Chatt opined that the deliberations of the seminar will provide rich menu for intellectual growth. Principal SPMR College Prof. Hemla Aggarwal in her welcome address also spoke on the occasion praised the role of the members for making the seminar a success. She hoped that the recommendations of the seminars will help policy makers and functionaries to streamline the teaching learning process to its optimum level, hence assuring enhancement of the quality in higher education. The Minister also released the Souvenir and a E-News letter of SPMR college of Commerce, Jammu.
