| Khajuria pays obeisance to Guru Ravi Dass | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Feb 7 Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria visited Shri Guru Ravi Dass Mandir, Kanji House, Gummat, and paid obeisance along-with hundreds of other devotees on the 633rd birthday celebrations of Guru Ji. While paying respects to Guru Ji, Khajuria said that the life of the saint is an institution in itself as he spread the message of universal brotherhood, equality and love for humanity irrespective of one’s caste; creed or colour. He was born for welfare of the society and gave a direction to the people who practiced untouchablity. Khajuria said that the ideas and the lessons of Guru ji are of more significance in today’s world. He said instead of his low caste, Guru Ji rose to a position of great honour through a life of simplicity and piety. He urged the people to take lessons from the life of Guru Ji and adopt noble principles in their lives in order to be respectable human beings. Khajuria also urged the members of the SC community to get united in order to defeat the designs of the state government which is planning to ban inter-district recruitments adding that it will badly harm the interests of the educated unemployed youth belonging to the community and the BJP opposes such a move tooth and nail. Number of other social and political figures was also present on the occasion.
