Safe-guard constitutional rights of SCs in country and in J&K: AJABM

Anusuchit Jaati Aarakshan Bachao Manch (AJABM) today called upon the community members to struggle for safe-guarding their constitutional rights.
A public meeting was organized here today where Narain Singh Kesri, Rajya Sabha (MP) was chief guest while Dushant Kumar Gautam, national co-convenor, (AJABM) was special guest.
Speaking on the occasion Narain Singh Kesri and Dushant Kumar Gautam gave a detailed account of the reservation policies and appealed for safe-guarding the constitution rights of schedule castes in the country as well as in Jammu & Kashmir. They said that SC community in majority is still socially, economically and educational backward in our country and needs upliftment of the community by proper and effective compliance of the reservation policy as has been provided by Indian constitution.
Both speakers appealed to the community to take steps for education to all and also be united and to do struggle for safe-guarding of their constitutional rights as was advised by Bharat Rattan of India Dr. B.R. Ambadkar.
Former MLA and spokesperson of the Manch, Bali Bhagat said that the proposal of the state government to ban and restrict inter-district and inter-province recruitments, appointments and selections in J&K state is a move to deprive the SC community in particular and other reserved categories in general. He demanded that an “Autonomous Commission for SCs” headed by a (Retd) Judge belonging to SC community be constituted for enforcing and reviewing implementation of reservation rules and demanded that commission shall be empowered with judicial powers and penal punishment should be prescribed for the authorities who violate reservation rules.
The guests of honour Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat (MLA) R.S.Pura, Sham Choudhary (MLA) Suchetgarh, Durga Dass, (MLA) Hiranagar and Daya Ram Bhagat also addressed the gathering on this occasion and assured their resolve to fight against such a move of banning inter-district recruitment for SC community at the floor of the Assembly House beginning from Feb. 22nd .
On this occasion Dushant Kumar Gautam announced tehsil unit for R.S. Pura comprising Munshi Ram Sangra (Adv.) as convenor, Garib Dass (Retd. ) Tehsildar, Janak Raj, Ami Chand, Garib Dass Keith, Chaman Lal (Retd.) Principal as Co-convenors and Chaman Lal (Adv.) as cashier of the Manch.
