| Reservation to Muslims condemned | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 9: State Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today condemned the Govt of West Bengal for giving 10 pc reservations to Muslims. It is to mention that West Bengal government announced 10 per cent quota in jobs for socially, educationally and economically backward Muslims under OBC category.
Addressing media persons here today, VHP State President Dr Ramakant Dubey alleged that the West Bengal government for toeing the communal line. He appealed the Governor of West Bengal to use his constitutional power and dismiss the West Bengal government. He asserted that the WB Govt had tried to fool the Muslims by giving them reservation on religious lines.
‘For an eye-wash WB govt has shown that these reservations would be for socially, educationally & economically backward Muslims and OBCs in Muslims’, he said adding, ‘This is all twisting the constitution and exploiting tactics’. Dr Dubey informed that Andhra Pradesh Govt had also given reservation to Muslims but High Court set aside the Govt decision.
