| JWAM protests against poor Traffic scenario | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 9: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today staged a protest demonstration against the deteriorating traffic scenario in the winter capital of the state and alleged harassment of traders at the hands of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in the name of encroachments. Shouting slogans against government and in favour of their demands, JWAM activists led by their President Sunil Dimple took out a protest rally. Addressing the protesters, Sunile Dimple alleged that it is very strange that despite of such problems faced by the common man, the government is silently watching the traffic mismanagement in the city. He urged upon Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his personal intervention in solving the worsening traffic problem in the city particularly on the roads in Jammu West Assembly constituency. JWAM President demanded the construction of alternate four-lane circular Ambpahlal Manda to High Court Janipur to Roop Nagar and Bantalab to ease the traffic rush on the existing Ambphalla-Janipur road. Launching a scathing attack on JMC, Sunil Dimple alleged that a reign of terror let loose by the corporation against the traders as they are being unnecessarily harassed every now and then in the name of encroachments.
