| SVO produces challan against JKSRTC employee | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 9 : The State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) today produced challan against a Junior Inspector of Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation, Srinagar for accepting illegal gratification.
According to official handout, the Kashmir wing of SVO produced challan in case FIR number 07/2007 Under Section 5(1) (d) r/w section 5(2) P.C.Act Svt.2006 and Section 161 RPC before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Kashmir, Sriangar against the accused Abdul Majid Shah, Junior Inspector, then posted in Mechanical Inspection Cell of State Road Corporation Srinagar.
He was arrested on February 8, 2007 while accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 600 from the complainant Shafat Ahmed Dar of Rawalpora, Srinagar for conducting mechanical inspection of his accidental vehicle (DL2CS-2446) Maruti Car seized by Police Station Saddar, Srinagar.
The Court has fixed February 26, 2010 as next date of hearing in the case.
