| Court awards 1 yr RI to accused in stabbing case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 9: The Court today awarded one year rigorous imprisonment to an accused who was facing trial in a stabbing case for the last 10 years. Third Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, R S Jain awarded one year rigorous imprisonment and fine Rs 1000 to accused Satpal, son of Balwant Raj while the Court acquitted other three accused persons facing trial. According to the prosecution case on April 23, 2000, the accused persons attacked upon Kuldeep Raj and injured him on the question that the injured teases the niece of the accused persons. A case was registered Under Section 307/326/34/341/342/34 and the Court after hearing the both the sides acquitted Balwant Raj, Ajit Kumar, Krishan Lal, sons of Durga Dass from the charges and convicted Satpal son of Balwant Raj and awarded one year rigorous imprisonment and fine Rs 1000 after 10 years trial of the case.
