| Sukhu reviews Congress’ membership drive | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 9: The Additional Pradesh Returning Officer (APRO) for Jammu and Kashmir appointed by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, MLA, today took stock of the membership in the state and gave final shape to the process of organisational elections from booth unit as per schedule of the AICC.
The APRO also had interaction with the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Saif-ud-Din Soz at PCC headquarters here today.
He also reviewed the district-wise and block-wise membership in Jammu province with respective PCC functionaries looking after the membership of the party which has been concluded as per AICC schedule.
Now, the process of screening of the membership would be done by the scrutiny committee of the primary members and electoral lists for electing delegates to the block and district level would be taken up.
The APRO would visit Srinagar and Leh also to take stock of the membership and the organisational elections.
