JAMMU, Feb 9
United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi has cleared the names proposed by Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief, Saif-ud-Din Soz for the appointment of Vice Chairmen of three prestigious Boards in the State.
If sources in New Delhi are to be believed, Sonia Gandhi has given her approval to the names of three persons proposed by Soz for Vice Chairmen in three prestigious boards for Gujjars and Bakerwals, Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Other Backward Classes.
Sources confirmed that Bashir Naz of Poonch would take over as new Vice Chairman of Board for Gujjars and Bakerwals while the names of Swaran Lata and Kuldeep Raj have been cleared by the All India Congress Committee president for the posts of Vice Chairmen in Board for Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribe and Board for Other Backward Classes respectively.
