| Lecture on “Do Solids have life” held | | |

Govt. Women College Parade Science Club today organized a lecture on the topic “ Do solids have life” which was delivered by Head Departments of Physics Jammu University Prof. Rajni Kant .
During the lecture, he explained the techniques to grow the crystals of different salts and then to make their diffractometeric studies to establish their structure by the X-ray Diffractometer installed at Jammu University
Principal of the college on the occasion appreciated the role of Science Club in organizing the series of lectures and other scientific activities in the college.
Convenor of the club in his address emphasized that there is great need for our students to cultivate scientific out look to become scientists as they constitute only five of the total scientists working in India.
