| MIER College holds interaction with Anuradha Rishi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 10 MIER College of Education today organised an interaction with famed artist, Anuradha Rishi here. The session was organised by Shanti Gupta, Centre for Women Studies, MIER College of Education under its programme ‘Sharing of Life Experiences as a Women’. Dr Renu Gupta, Director, Centre for Women Studies welcomed the eminent artist, Anuradha Rishi. She introduced her as a Fine Arts graduate and a painter in her own right. Anuradha happens to be the youngest daughter of Late Pandit Sansar Chand Baru, who was a famous Artist and Painter of the state, a national awardee and Master of Art in Pahari Folk paintings. A power point presentation highlighting her achievement was also presented during the programme. Besides, highlighting her achievements Anuradha shared her journey of life and dealt with different aspects of life right from childhood to reach to a position which she is occupying today. She shared her many interesting anecdotes of life which helped her to shape her personality, some important persons like her father who supported her, some challenges she faced and the sacrifices she had to make in personal and professional life to achieve and taste success. It was followed by a lively interaction with the faculty and students. Angela Gadroo, Senior Lecturer of the college proposed a vote of thanks to the invited guest and all those present.
