| JCO, three jawans sacrifice their lives | | Militant killed in encounter near Surankot | | JAMMU OCT-10- A militant was killed, three jawans and one JCO laid down their lives in an encounter at Jamlerh Dharaba of Surankot area of Poonch district today, while a hideout was bused at Marhot in Surankot and some arms and ammunition including 4 KG explosive recovered from there.
A Police spokesman said this evening that a joint operation was launched by the Police and NCA in the general area of Jamlerh Dharaba falling in the jurisdiction of Police Station Surankot in Poonch district which turned into an encounter with the militants. In the gun- fight one militant was killed while three NCA jawans and a JCO sacrificed their lives. The encounter was continuing when the last reports came in.
The spokesman further said Commando group of Surankot and NCA in a joint operation busted a hide out at Marhot in Surankot area. During the search operation five electronic Detonators, 4 kg explosive (destroyed on spot) and one remote mobile circuit box were recovered.
