| Management Fest organized in Commerce College | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Feb 10 Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) of Government S.P.M.R. College of Commerce organized Management Fest in which students of various colleges participated. Festival was inaugurated by Dr. N.D Wani, Director Colleges who exhorted students to sharpen their competitive edge by imbibing both theoretical knowledge and practical wisdom. Prof. Aman Rathore, former Principal and founder of BBA in the college, opined that management is the power to shape the destiny of nations as management is building men, who build products and nations. Dr. R.D Sharma, Controller of University Examinations said, “Management adds a real plus value to the operations of any organizations by enlisting a little extra value out of each person and that compete or perish is the rule of the new game. Prof. Neelu Rometra, Director, Business School, University of Jammu opined that though there is no dearth of the institutions imparting management education, but still quality is a rare phenomenon. Management tools are to be used judiciously to ensure larger good of the greater number of people, especially those below the poverty line. Credit for development of the advanced countries of the world goes to the managerial acumen of the people at the helm of affairs in their nations. The festival also marked the presentation of fashion show, dances, group songs, it was followed by quiz competition, logo and pamphlet designing by various teams represent ting various city colleges. In beginning students of the college recited Saraswati Vandana followed by lighting of the lamp? Principal, Dr. Hemla Aggarwal appreciated the role of Prof. Bharti Slathia, Head, BBA, Prof. Suresh Sadotra Convener Management Festival and other staff members for organizing the event immaculately. She stressed upon recurrence of such events as they equip the students to face the real world with competitive edge.
