| PDP leader takes stock of damages | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Feb 10 To take stock of the damages caused by the recent rainfall, senior PDP leader Shahzad Khan today visited Dandesar, Nowshera. PDP leader visited one Muzaffar Hussain’s house as the rains had destroyed his cattle shed thereby killing 150-200 livestock thus causing damage to him to the tune of lakhs of rupees. Speaking on the occasion, he said that this is just a single incident of destruction and damage of the livestock in low lying areas while that in the upper riches including Manyal, Azmatabad, Dum Hill, Ratanpir, Kalas, Alal and Katemar areas of twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, the damages are of grievous nature and yet to be worked out. He also met the SDM and demanded relief for the sufferers. PDP leader lambasted the Government for its neglect and indifference towards the poor commoners. Khan said that the sorry state of the much talked of RTI Act and the failure to implement it on ground is denying the requisite information people seek from the authorities. Increasing corruption and nepotism that is going on a large scale in the state is also a matter of concern, he alleged.
