Tiny Tots Hr sec school today celebrated its annual sports day in which Former Education Minister Harsh Dev was the chief guest while Nisar Ahmed was the guest of honor on the occasion. The function was presided over by the chairman of the school, Veen Handa .
The esteemed guests were welcomed by the young tiny tots with showers of petals and buntings.The meet was declared open by the lighting of the torch by the chief guest ,
Which was carried around the field by Abhey Veer Singh of Class 11. The colorful contingents of the different houses carrying their respective banners gave the salute to the chief guest. the tiny tots of kindergarten, carrying the tricolor in their tiny hands waved as they marched past the dias, were a feast to the eyes.
The esteemed guests and the audience were apprised that the sports events and various other competitions were going on since many days . The winners of badminton, Shot Put chess and carrom championships had already been decided. The semi-finals and heats of various other events were to be held now. The final events which were decided today were the long jump, various individual sprints, relay races and the long distance races.
The junior taekwando drill was a sight of coordination among the tiny tots where as the seniors show their talents in its by breaking of marbles with their bare hands.
While Speaking on the occasion , Harshdev applauded the efforts made by the school in organizing the function . He also highlighted the importance of the sports in the life of the students. The prizes were also distributed among the winner of the sports meet.
At last , event culminated with the presentation of memento to Harshdev by Veen Handa while Principal of the school, Vikram Handa honored the guest of honor , Nisar Ahmed.
