| Bhalla calls for strengthening communal harmony | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 11: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla has said that the Omar led coalition Government is fast treading towards achieving new heights on development front due to its people friendly policies and programmes. He said main focus of the Government is to provide improved and modern civic amenities to the people in every nook and corner of the State. The Minister was interacting with locals, after laying foundation of various development works in Deep Nagar at Kunjwani, Trikuta Nagar, East and South Extension, Gujjar Colony and Channi Himmat. Bhalla stressed for maintaining and strengthening amity and brotherhood among various sections of the society, adding that it was imperative for speedy development and prosperity of the State. He also cautioned people against elements, who are hell-bent to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the State. The Minister said that the Government has launched several welfare schemes for improving the socio-economic condition of the weaker sections. He appealed the people to avail the benefits of various centrally and state sponsored schemes by starting their own ventures. Responding to the local demands, Bhalla said that with the commissioning of Rs. 4 crore Tube Well at Deep Nagar, Kunjwani, the drinking water scarcity in Sainik Colony, Bandhu Rakh, Shanker Colony, Digiana, Babliana, Gangyal and Dashmash Nagar will be solved to a large extent.
