Early Times Report JAMMU, FEBRUARY 12 A meeting of All J&K Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) Teachers Forum was held here at Jammu on Friday under the chairmanship of its provincial president, Rajesh Singh, in which different district as well as zonal president were present. In the meeting, all the speakers criticized the state government for delaying their genuine long pending demands which include formation of transfer policy in favour of regularized ReTs, issuing the order for regularization of Education Volunteers (EVs), inclusion of five years’ rendered services for seniority benefits, enhancement in the wages of ReTs upto Rs. 7000, implementation of SRO-43 etc. Singh further said that the Forum has submitted its charter of demand to Director, School Education; Secretary, School Education; Education Minister and even to Chief Minister but no any positive response is given so for, therefore, the Forum has left with no other option than to protest in favour of their demands. In this regard, the Forum is going to observe one-day protest demonstration on February 24, 2010, the call for which is already given by the state president of the Forum, Vinod Sharma. He further appealed to all the ReTs to gather in large number at Exhibition Ground, near Press Club of Jammu on February 24, 2010 at 10:00 am to get their rights. He further warned that if their demands would not be considered soon, the Forum would go for Assembly gehrao in the coming Budget Session and the government will be responsible for that. Among those who attended the meeting include Rishi Sharma, Younas Rahi, Vinod Sharma, Surinder Singh, Amanit Hussain, Sajad Malik, Manjoor Khan, Pritam Chand, Shanwaz, Jyoti Prakash, Anil Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Pawan Sharma and others.
