Jammu, Feb 13 : At least 11 passengers were today injured, three critically, when an overcrowded bus skidded off the road at Mendhar in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
A local passenger vehicle with registration number JK02M8623 -- was on its way from Uchhad to Mendhar when it met with an accident at about 1115 hrs, police said.
All passengers, including the injured, were evacuated from the vehicle, which, the sources said, was carrying more passengers than its authorised capacity.
The injured were shifted to a nearby civil hospital for treatment, police said.
