| Sunday Theatre presents ‘Simply Bachpan’ | | | Early Times Report Jammu 14th Feb A new improvisation play ‘Simply Bachpan’ based on some excerpts of the week long Theatre-In-Education workshop organized by National School of Drama & Natrang was staged here at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu in the weekly theatre series ‘Sunday Theatre’. The play was directed by Sumeet Sharma. The experts from NSD witnessed the play and appreciated the effort; they reflected their satisfaction that the training which they have provided is well received and will definitely yield fruitful results both in Theatre & Education scenario of the State. As the name suggest, Simply Bachpan, reveals the reflections of a simple childhood, where some adults are recalling some unforgettable memories of their childhood which have shaped and chiseled their present. Everything which has happened to them (no matter good or bad) has engraved a serious mark in their minds and modified their behaviour. Children are so vulnerable that even the simple things, which we ignore as adults, matter a lot to them. A person still feels a unique sensation when he recalls childhood bullies, partialities in the class, being victim without being culprit & indifferent behaviour of the parents. In a very subtle way, the play which started as a story of a particular person becomes the saga of all and calls for a thoughtful schooling, teaching & even parenting. Those who acted in the play include Sumeet Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Rohit Verma, Tajasvi Sharma, Rahul Singh, Besnet Romilla, Sona Mehar, Pankush Verma & Richa Sharma The lights were executed by Mohd. Yaseen. The presentations of the show were done by Gaurav Jamwal.
