| Sports stadium at Khour announced | | Govt committed equitable development: Tara Chand | | EARLY TIMES ERPORT JAMMU, Feb 14: Deputy Minister Tara Chand has reiterated the Government’s commitment to provide all basic amenities to the people, adding that numerous developmental and welfare schemes have been launched in every nook and corner of the State. Addressing a huge public gathering at Khour today, the Deputy Chief Minister said that besides ensuring equitable development in all three regions of the State, the Government has taken fruitful measures to uplift the people belonging to the weaker sections of the society adding that justice will be provided to every one. To achieve the goal work on number of developmental and welfare projects is going on speedily ensuring the benefits reach to the people at grass root level, he added. He said that the endeavour of the Government is to make available facilities of road connectivity, drinking water, sanitation, power, medicare, education etc to the people. Highlighting the achievements registered during the last one year of the coalition Government and various developmental projects under execution, Tara Chand sought public operation in the implementation of these enabling the executing agencies to complete these within stipulated time. He said that the Government is very keen to overcome the unemployment problem adding that for the purpose, an employment policy has recently been announced where under more than one lakh educated youth are expected to be accommodated. Tara Chand said that an Employment Mela would be organized at Khour very soon with the facilities of providing information about different schemes for the benefit of people and also number of stalls would be installed by various departments. Responding to the demands of youth of the area, Tara Chand announced a Sport Stadium at Khour.
