| Chib visits GB Pant Hospital, frames inquiry committee | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Feb 15:
Minister for Medical Education, RS Chib today constituted a three member inquiry committee to report to government about the alleged spurious drugs, being sold at GB Pant hospital, Srinagar by some vested interests. The committee would be headed by Administrator, Associated Hospital, Srinagar and other two members would be from GMC Srinagar and Drug Controller, Kashmir. This step was taken in view of certain complaints made by patients, during his surprise visit to GB Pant Hospital here today. Chib directed Medical superintendent concerned to coordinate with Sub-Area Commander to solve the problem in respect of poor sanitation system in the hospital. He also directed for bringing improvement in casualty and other units, which need repairs and also asked hospital administration to maintain cleanliness in and around the hospital. In respect of ongoing renovation work of the hospital, Chib asked Deputy General Manager, JKPCC to speed up the work on the remaining portion of the hospital. Principal, GMC, Srinagar and other officers accompanied the Minister.
