JAMMU, Feb 15: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Basohli, Jagdish Sapolia today declared open the five-day inter-house meet of the Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Education, Rajbhag in Kathua.
In his address to the participants, MLA appreciated the initiative of management of the college in utilizing the energies of the students by involving them in sports.
Over 200 men and women undergoing BEd courses in the college have been involved in different sports events of badminton, table tennis, volleyball, hand power and rope skipping.
On the opening day, badminton and table tennis events took place.
The Results: Badminton women: Shalini bt Meenakshi 15-6, 15-9; Jaswinder bt Meenu Jamwal 15-3, 15-6; Rekha bt Indumati 15-3, 15-7; Neha bt Shaya 15-12, 15-9. Badminton men: Rajiv bt Dinesh 15-6, 15-9.
