JAMMU, Feb 15: Semi-finals line-up has been drawn in the ongoing inter-college men’s volleyball tournament with the entry of teams in the last four stages today at University of Jammu grounds, here.
Teams reaching the semi-finals are the combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments, Degree College Poonch, Government MAM College and Government Degree College Udhampur.
Now, in the semi-finals to be played tomorrow, PG Departments shall take on Degree College Poonch while Udhampur College shall be playing against MAM College tomorrow.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals, played today, PG Departments defeated Government Degree College Rajouri in straight sets 25-16, 25-14, 25-11. Roshan Lal and Mohd Farooq played fine game for the winners. The second quarterfinal was won by Poonch College beating Government Degree College Kathua 3-1 (25-08, 17-25, 25-23, 25-17).
In other quarterfinals, MAM College trounced GGM Science College in straight sets 25-19, 25-13, 25-15 while Degree College Udhampur downed Government Degree College Akhnoor against in straight but close sets 25-20, 26-24, 25-17.
Today’s matches were officiated by Dr Rajinder, Neeraj Sharma, Mulkh Raj, Anil Sharma and Mohd Illyas.
