Batwal community holds socio-religious function

Jammu, Feb 15: Batwal community organized a socio-religious function in the premises of Rameshwar Temple at Chatha Gujran wherein number of Saints and community members including men, women and children drawn from different parts participated.
Function started early in the morning with a prayer, followed by Bhajans, Satsang and speeches by some leaders of the Batwal community.
Speakers stressed for social reforms and need to curb the prevailing social evils. They called for unity, simplicity and discipline among the members of the Batwal community so that the young generation obtains good Sanskars. They also appealed the community members to follow the valuable teachings of great saints.
The community on this occasion honoured J&K Batwal welfare association President ex. MLA Sat Pal Lakhotra, Sr. Vice President Capt. Om Parkash Tugga, Vice President Dilay Ram Kaith, General Secretary RL Kaith, Chief Advisor Col (retd) Manohar Lal Kaith, joint election commissioner Ramesh Kaith, State Mahila wing president Bimla Motan. District Mahila Wing President Bachno Devi, Guru Gyagi foundation president Mela Ram Tugga and Dy. SP ML Kaith for their excellent services.
Thereafter the chief guest of the function ex. MLA Sat Pal Lakhotra distributed the prizes among the youth who excelled in education and sports activities and presented Momento to the chief organizer Birender Kaith who successfully conducted the programme.
Prominent among those who were present in the function included Capt Raj Kaith, Capt Kamal Chand, Gunni Ram, Ram Lal Lakhotra, Kamal Singh, Puran Chand, Jagat Raj, Dhani Ram, Jeet Raj, Raj Kumar, Subash Chander, Amarjeet, Punjab Singh, Parshotam Lal and Baldev Chand. Bhandara was opened finally for all participants Partook Parshad.
