11th protest by JJSF on concession in syllabus continues

Jammu , Feb 15: Government Gandhi Memorial Science College students boycotted classes to exhibit protest to press the authorities for concession in syllabus. Sahil Choudhary President, GGM Sc. College led the students who gathered at college ground. From there a possession was taken out besides funeral of Vice Chancellor, Jammu University was carried away. Students assembled around Science College where Davinder Singh poised as VC’s Son and put on fire VC funeral. Students blocked Canal Road and completed funeral traditional by sitting around it and wailing.
GDC Paloura, also witnessed agitation of students lead by Gulshan and Abhay Sharma both JJSF activist. Angry students boycotted the classes and internal assessment test of General Degree Course and raised slogans against JU Authority. Similarly, GCW Parade, students agitated under leadership of Vinakshi Sharma, Unit President, GCW Parade, Pooja Bandral, Monika Rani, Swarna, Isha and Rimmy Sharma. All students gathered at College ground but college administration deployed thick police force inside the college campus to contain angry students. Students forcibly opened the main gate during which a clash occurs between students and police persons. A student fainted during the scuffele and was shifted to GMC in time by JJSF leaders. Meanwhile the other agitating students blocked the Kachi Chowni Chowk.
Partap Singh Jamwal, State Vice President, JJSF, addressed students and said that the college administration is trying to suppress the voice of students. Jamwal questioned JU authorities and State Govt. about the allowing thick police blanket inside colleges. He asked that why JU authorities are trying to playing with the career of students.
Govt. Degree College R.S. Pura, GGM Evening Science College students continue protest under the banner of JJSF.
