| Middle School Rajouri held environment awareness programme | | | Early Times report
Rajouri: Taking the pledge to save the environment the students of government girl’s middle school Rajouri today organized a environment awareness programme under the guidance of Ministry of Environment and Forest;
On the occasion students held thread bare discussion on degrading environment beside this a painting and debate competition was also held. The student’s take the pledge that on their birthday they will plant a tree and try to give their effort a virtual image. Gurcharn Singh, Chief Education Officer Raiouri was the chief guest and said that with the increasing population the forest are decreasing with a great pace. He further said that in the ever increasing population the young one can save the environment if they were educated to do so.
Shoket Javeed, Headmaster of the school lauded the efforts of the students and said that with these programmes a movement like Chipkoo Andolan can be generated which is dire need of the day, if we care of our children’s.
